Soybeans are very attractive to deer from the onset of emergence and are an important food source for doves, duck, rabbit, quail and turkey. Soybeans are especially attractive to wildlife because they also offer cover. They are so preferred that most small acreage plantings will be killed quickly by deer grazing pressure.
