Crimping sleeves are a cost-effective way of permanently splicing high-tensile wire. Crimp sleeves are long-lasting, non-retensionable, and not releasable. When properly crimped, the holding strength of the crimp sleeve exceeds the wire strength. Wires being spliced together should be the same wire size and the size of the crimp sleeve should match the wire size being spliced. After crimping properly, the crimp sleeve should be round.
